Also known as Temple of Supreme Bliss, the Kek Lok Si temple is the largest Buddhist temple in the whole of South-east Asia. The beautifully carved temples and the well maintained gardens are an absolute treat to the eyes. The Pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas is the centre of attraction with its magnificent size and the wonderful Buddha statues displayed inside. The recently renovated, gigantic Kuan Yin (The Goddess of Mercy) Pavillion with 82.7m tall, equivalent to the height of a 20-storey building, giving shelter to the enormous bronze statue of 30.2m tall Kuan Yin is another highlight. Definitely a must visit place for all.

The Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion is among the three traditional mansions that are outside China. The mansion is an example of quality craftsmanship and is inspired by the Chinese Feng shui design. The lavish courtyards and the king-sized rooms are stunning. Guided tours are available during the day and we would suggest you the same if you want a detailed history of the art and culture of the mansion.

The clan jetties are a part of Penang’s rich heritage. This age old Chinese settlement is regarded as one of the oldest and its uniqueness has been adored by tourists. It has a different kind of look and feel with the water houses built on stilts and so many beautiful things that will remind you of the Chinese era. If you want to embrace the history of the seven jetties (currently six) then you should add this place to your wishlist.

Stretching over a length 1-2km along the Batu Ferringhi beach road, the night market has a different charm. There are a plethora of shopping items ranging from apparels, accessories to electronic goods you can gamble upon. The shops are open even after midnight so that you can steal a deal even if you are late. The flea markets, in Upper Penang Road & Straits Quay operate during weekends. A stretch of food, antiques, handmade art & craft products can be found there.

If you are a beach lover then Batu Ferringhi beach is just the place you want to be after coming to Penang. Looking at the beautiful 3D artwork you will get an extensive idea about Penang. There are different sections inside the museum, each with its unique designs. The sculptures have great detailing and will never fail to mesmerize you over and over again.

Chocolate & Coffee Museum, perviously known as The Chocolate Boutique, is a tourist shop on Leith Street, in George Town, Penang. It specializes in retailing branded and high-end chocolate products, mostly to foreign tourists who arrive by tour coaches. The boutique occupies a double storey bungalow that was formerly the New China Hotel.

As would be expected, the inside of the Chocolate & Coffee Museum is a bonanza of chocolates, grouped by theme. If you are a chocolate lover, this place can help you put on some weight and lighten some pockets.
